Articles of Capitulation Pictorial 1781

This antiqued parchment poster depicts a typeset copy of the Articles of Capitulation which was signed by Earl Cornwallis, the Lieutenant-General of the British Army, on October 19th, 1781. This document eventually led to the end of the Revolutionary War and independence for the Colonies. The poster also includes a picture of the Moore House where the original document was drafted, and explanatory notes.
