Sam Houston - Portrait and Thoughts

This antiqued parchment poster includes a portrait and biographical sketch of Sam Houston. Sam Houston lived from 1793 to 1863. During his lifetime he was governor of two states, president of the Republic of Texas, a U.S. senator, and a military hero. Texas was admitted to the United States in 1845 due significantly to his efforts.
