Abraham Lincoln - Emancipation Proclamation 1863

This antiqued parchment document is a replica of the original hand written Emancipation Proclamation issued by President Abraham Lincoln on January 1, 1863. The proclamation was an executive order by Lincoln which declared "that all persons held as slaves" within the rebellious states "are, and henceforward shall be free."
