Republic of Texas Replica Currency 1838-1841

Hand Antiqued Parchment Paper. Looks and Feels Old!

Set of 6 Replica Banknotes

  • $9.95

You will receive 6 unique replicas of original Republic of Texas Currency from the years 1838-1841.

The replica notes are printed on one side only. They are printed in black ink, like most original currency of the time. Some of the original notes may have been printed using color ink and/or may have had reverse side printing. The word "COPY" is marked upon each replica note in accordance with the requirements of the Code of Federal Regulations, Hobby Protection Act.

The following notes are included in this set:

  1. $100 Republic of Texas 1839
  2. $50 Republic of Texas 1839
  3. $20 Government of Texas 1838
  4. $10 Government of Texas 1838
  5. $5 Republic of Texas 1840
  6. $3 Republic of Texas 1841

All of the replica banknotes included in this set are printed on one side, like most original currency of the 19th century. The original 1939 $100 and $50 banknotes were known as "Texas Redback Currency" as they had a design printed on the reverse side which was highlighted with red ink. I do not have information about what may have been printed, if anything, on the reverse side of the original versions of all of the other replica banknotes included in this set.

The banknotes are packaged in an envelope which includes historical information about the history of the Republic of Texas Currency, and specific information about each note included in the set.
